Hello,

I'm working on a K&B 7.5 outboard and I never played with these before...I'm an inboard guy...

I would like to know if I need cavitation plate, if so what will it do???

Does anybody have a sketch or a plan so I can make my own. Does it go over or under the existing one.

Finally, I have an Irwin quiet pipe, what lenght should it be? What the easiest way to measure it.

Thanks to all for your help.

Welcome to outboards Eric!

The existing cav plate is fine if you get your setup right. As for the Irwin Quite pipe, I don't recall the exact length but I know I had to run it shorter than the rest of my pipes. You measure the length of the header to the first weld or bend in the pipe.
