bud tri hull

why did the miss bud team only run the trihull in one race? all the info i've seen says that it was fast in all of the tests. i see that lumar bought it and converted it over to the standard layout?

Chip Hanauer said it was the freakiest boat he ever drove, said there was no real feel of the water. They messed with the design, tried mini wings in the front, no rear tiplet wings, full wing across front sponsons, nothing seemed to change the way it felt to him & he finally flat out told the late Bernie Little he wouldn't drive it anymore. :unsure:

thats to bad it sure looks neet. was it desighned that way to limit blowovers? it would seem that if wouldnt pack as much air as the typical design. how did the dewalt trihull do? didn't they race it the whole season? thanks for the info.
