Beautiful boat!... what strikes me as strange, and no fault of yours, Dave, is that the offset is on the wrong side of center for the clockwise direction we run.

The full size boats go around the course the other direction which I'm sure you know so if it was offset the other way it would "technically" not be too scale. Don't know how that would translate with scale rules as I never have raced that class.

Well aware of that and it's a performance feature, not aesthetic.
That being said, the offset would be toward the inside of turn radius.
We run our boats clockwise, so offset should be to the right side of hull in plan view.
Just like the old Mongoose outriggers, and the Roadrunners a few generations past, perhaps the RR ultralight.
