One thing to consider when going to 24V is the switch. The Sullivan strip qwitch will not handle the increased current for long. Upgrading to a starter push button type switch or relmote relay is recommended.

Yep, used to go through switches quite often, since adding a Ford starter solenoid, about 10 years ago, haven't replaced one since.

Just the batteries every few years
