Well, the 2022 Internat's hosted by the Huntsville Model Boat Club has drawn to a close.
Banquet this evening for some awards, food and fellowship with a great group of like minded people.
One thing is for sure, this Huntsville crew/club knows how to put on a FIRST CLASS event.
Both Grim families AWESOME job
You guys worked your tails off officiating but you made it look easy. BZ
Charlie, David Hall, Jon T (not gonna try) great job keeping things organized and moving smoothly in the hot pits👍
Mark Bullard, Doc Turner, Bill Zuber.

Retrieve boat operators, sorry I didn't introduce myself but thank you for your hard work.
If this is done again in a couple-a years I will sure try to be here.

Thank you to everyone involved with this event and the Huntsville Club for hosting. Had an amazing time with great people, and made a lot of memories. Nitro Joe was always happy to retrieve, Charlie was everyones biggest fan in the pits whether you did good or bad, he was pulling for everyone. I believe that Mark Grimm was on the concrete pad from sun up to sun down, K1 and K2 never left the stand and was always helping with anything you needed. Rick G, Mark B, and CW on the mic to help direct and help anyone that needed it and kept the train moving forward. Thank you again for another amazing Internats!

As a model boater of 40+ years this was one of the best experiences ive ever had in the hobby and i mean EVER! ALL of the folks involved in the operations of running this race did just an OUTSTANDING JOB! Ive never met so many nice and outgoing people at any regatta like i did at this one! It was great being able to say hi to those that i have met at other race's in years past as well as those i met for the first time at this race! I left the banquet Saturday night with Extremely sore ribs and a great feeling and im sure that the guilty party(or PARTIES)know exactly who they are and why! I do believe that nitro is still alive and a kickin' and the Internats simply backs up my statement! Lets keep it going for a long time to come!

To add to what Bill said, Huntsville city has been VERY involved with the club, they WANT us to hold events as they know it is good for the city and the local economy to have visitors and enjoying what the city has to offer. There has been a big push to make things available for a very wide range of activities and fun stuff in what is now the largest city in Alabama. In case you did not notice US World Reports has rated Huntsville as the best place to live! (Those that have lived here awhile already knew this but at least now the word is out!)

So send an email to the Mayor's office as this will help the boat club see the value and worth of what we are doing and this can only help us down the road to hold even better and bigger events!
