I gatta say 'Thanks' and 'Kudos 2 everyone at D6'. ;D The racing was great and I fell in love even more with R/C boating. OSRACER, what time is the D6 race?

Wow ;D....some stiff competition out there, and some stiff minded individuals (unfortunatly). It's a sad thing when someone takes their passion / hobby so seriously that they become narrow minded.....I don't know who this guy is Grimracer but, must I remind him that he too, used to be (if not...

    props 4 newbies

The actual shaft is 11/64" or a few scratches short of 3/16"...is this normal? The plans didn't give me an actual size so I had to use a drill bit guage. The max. prop dia can go just shy of 2". The current prop is 1 3/4"..don't know the pitch.

    props 4 newbies

where do you get an Octura bronze prop? ??? The shop here in town (ironically) sells boats but no accessories...nice huh! Tower Hobbies doesn't have 'em either. Is there an Octura prop # I can use to find one on the net? Also, ( :P I feel like a dumb@$$ for asking this) I noticed that they...

    props 4 newbies

I'm runnin' a Dynamite .12SP in a Laser Line ABC Hobby SPBP outboard unit. I've read a lot of postings that mention how much more performance you can get out of a beryllium / s.steel prop and I'm looking to get more speed. I have a couple of newbie Q's: 1. Will a metal prop make much diff. in...

    Big Problem...maybe small???

PP, I feel your pain :-. I'm new to engine break-in's as well. I have a LaserLine tunnel hull with a Dynamite .12 as well....maybe it's just me but, they seem to be a picky engine to break in. First Q: Are you using an electric starter? I had HUGE issues getting the thing to start without it...

    AAHAAHHHH!!!! <engine problems>

Re:AAHAAHHHH!!!! Being the cheap person I am I went to Menards and bought up a 10' roll of clear vinyl tubing for $1.39, add 40 zip-ties for $1.16 and made a nice exhaust pipe that extends up about 3+ inches. Works wonderfully!! The engine doesn't heat up the exhaust head really bad cause like...

    AAHAAHHHH!!!! <engine problems>

Re:AAHAAHHHH!!!! Switched to some new fuel, Blue Lightning stuff (sorry don't have it here at work with me)...recommeded by the Dynamite crew (I have a Dynamite Paris-Dished 12SP). That got it going but, I'm still having some locking problems. I'm gonna give Jeff K's recommendations a try, it...
