They start sometime between 9:00 and 10:00. Hope to see you there. I'll be the old guy in the Goodyear hat. 8)

OS and Kookie

I spoke with some dudes from Iowa last night and they might be coming to the race also. ;D

This should be one of the best races of the year as long as the weather holds out.

On a more interesting note I heard one guy from the Chicago land area say "why go, that this race was for amateurs". > :( name withheld..

There is a good chance that he will get a telephone call full of $hi1 for that remark. Buy the way (dude that gave me this information) that is not the first time I have heard that one coming from him.. I will not let him use his (bull $hit) reputation to slam a good race or club..Remember I'm a paid member of the TCMBC

Needless to say I'm pissed > :( > :( > :(

I think i need to pick his brain to see what he has to say about the race..you know ask him if he is coming and all that... if he gives me the same line i might slam him on this site. But only after I repeat what it is he has said,,, to him.. Seams strange but his mouth can go off before his brain has a chance to think about it.

It had better have been a Joke...

I thought all IMPBA races were for amateurs? isin't a requirement that you not be a professional? (race for money)

Your right Mr Tom

;)

But you know as well as i what he meant. I have a feeling you know who i am talking about also. Shame as he is a ton of fun to race with!!

I just get frustrated because i have herd this over and over again. If its not the race its the boats and parts you are using on it.

When you are fast (like he) you are fast, and that i have alot of time and respect for..its when he uses his (legend in his own mind) aditude to blast people that are not playing his game: that what yanks my nads.

Again: I hope he was joking! But i doubt it.

Rock On

Grimracer

Also i do not want anbody to think that the chicago boys are not good guys as thease guy are my boat buddys.. My racing family and rank high on my list of fun guys.. It the people in model boat racing that keep bringing me back to the races time after time..

uh yea... guess it was they way it was said not the actual meaning.

but i honestly have no idea who your talking about... got a couple guesses....

I heard the Iowa guys may come also. I'm a district six guy and spend a lot of time racing in district 4 because I like the competition and like to travel. I don't know what classes this guy runs who thinks we are amateurs but I do know we have a bunch of good guys and their will be people there that can on any given day put just about anybody behind them. It's to bad he feels this way as our guys are good racers and have a good time and that's what it's really all about.

Wow ;D....some stiff competition out there, and some stiff minded individuals (unfortunatly). It's a sad thing when someone takes their passion / hobby so seriously that they become narrow minded.....I don't know who this guy is Grimracer but, must I remind him that he too, used to be (if not still is) an "amature racer"?

Never forget your roots, man...... > :(

Hey Grimmy and the other guys that race 3.5 tunnel hulls, did you know that this class is for beginners? A CD at a race near me a few years back told me that when a kid was swerving all over the course running into whoever he could. My wife was just starting out in racing when this kid tried to make his boat "wide" and my wife tried to avoid him putting her boat into the side of the retrieve boat costing me several hundred dollars in damage. I complained and the CD told me the above statement, that "this class is for beginners" and to expect this stuff. Talk about being P.O.ed! The rulebook states that you have to have control of your boat at all times! At least in District 4 you get respect in this class.

Gang

We had the D6 race and it went quite well. The water was a little weady but the racing lanes were very clear. The weather was hot and sticky but it beats snow. And the Iowa gang is building a reputation..(read that how you might)

As Crash's wife would say: Its not the quantity that counts it the quality.

I will send pictures to the TCMBC web guys and to TomM the web god. Mister T ROCKS! Thanks

Oh yea the Villain won stock tunnel this year. COOL the stock guys were fast..

Some of us also got to meet Kookie Man. It fun to meet someone from the site. Hea-Kookie- keep it up,, you have a lot of Moxy (CJ Van would say) So keep that boat in the water. Ask questions and learn.. Never say die. Welcome to boat racing..

Ron

MAN O MAN i hate when i have to defend the class.

Hi Tom. My name is Bill Wachtler. You can find me at a lot of the district 4 races. Usually have my pretty wife and motor home with me. Run B hydro, B mono, and B tunnel. I love the district 4 races just because of the good competition. My attitude is you can't get better unless you run against better people. It also is to try and bring up the level of competition in the district six which is a small group of people to say the least for a large metro area. However, we have a great bunch of guys who all try hard and work hard to keep racing alive in this district and it's sad to here people talk poorly about their efforts. Have a good one, hope to see you at the Badger race. Bill

I cant picture the face.... but i remember the name.... i probably raced you in b hydro before.... what boat do you run?

well with baby #2 due august 1st ill be doing very little racing after that... i might attend the last badger race and the .21 shoot out...... but who knows.... too much going on to tell right now. i got to keep my family needs first

Hi Tom, I'm an older guy that always wears a Goodyear cap. I run one of Mikes Ninja's. Clear with orange sponsons. White this year. Most of success has been in b mono. Only been doing this a couple of years but am having a blast. I think I know who you are but am not sure. If you are the guy that was doing a radar trip and hit a bouy at the Badger pond and then did a dance on your boat. I remember you. Planning on making both Badger races and the 21 shoot out. Didn't make shootout last year as the timing with Sept 11th was just to close. Hope baby is healthy and mom lets you get to a couple of races. Good to see priority is in right place. Bill :D

oh yea... i remember..... and yep.... i say that bouy moved.... it jumped out in front of my boat ;D
