Friends, to say the first ever Texas Super Race was a success would be a huge understatement!!! It was, well, SUPER! We were blessed with absolutely perfect boat racing weather, a great turn out, a great bunch of racers and a bunch of helpful volunteers.

Some of the stats:

-We ended up with exactly 200 boats registered

- We had around 70 boaters entered

-We had 28 classes

- 8 Nitro classes

- 8 FE classes

- 7 Gas classes

- 5 Open classes

- We had 47 heats per round scheduled

- We ran 103 heats on Saturday (with 30-40 minutes open water at the end)

- We ran 80 heats on Sunday (finished round 4 and were done around 3:00 pm)

- I heard NO complaining about the mixture of the IMPBA and NAMBA rules! The audio clock and part course mill worked out great!

- The MVP of the race has to go to my wife Donna! She was the Pit Boss for 2 separate Hot pits for most of the weekend (she was very thankful for the occasional relief...Thanks guys!) and was the primary reason we were able to get this much racing done.

OK, now for The results:

Anyone know what type of hulls the top gas sport hydro guys were running??

Sean
The top nitro guys where running SGX'S. :p

And if they ran gass they's probably run Freebirds.

-Buck-
Man...not sure if that freebird is ugly enough to be pretty... :) Boat reminds me of 20000 leagues under the sea...the submarine there..the Nautilus...

Anyhow, thanks for the inputs. I am thinking ahead to next winter...and the possibility of my winter build being a gas sport hydro...
