I am going to try a new eng build to test at the race in Brandon FL.
I am going to put a 2000 EVO crank in my RS 1.01 case.
This will make a .97 CID eng, the shorter stroke with the same rod will give me a R/S ratio of 1.89 compared to the 1.8 that it is now with the longer stroke RS crank.
This should let me rev the eng higher and pull longer in the straits.
Should also settle the boat down using a smaller 1667 prop in place of the H50.
Will give it a spin and see what is what.
