How to?? - Diesel model engines

Greetings all,

I recently bought a new russian (no name) .25 diesel engine (new) from ebay for a scale tugboat project I am working on.

How do I start it?? I am extremely familiar with 'normal' nitro-methane engines, but this thing is odd....and the instructions are in ruski. :- ...so that doesn't help.

Do you use any 2-stroke oil in the diesel?? When would you adjust the compression screw?? Can you use exhaust baffle throttle control??

Any help would be great.

Rotsa Ruck! I had a diesel head conversion from Davis Diesel for an OS .12 and it was nothing but a hassle. The screw adjusts the compreesion then you have to adjust the fuel mixture hoping that you can get it right for low and high speed. How to start it? Just crank it over, the heat from the compression makes it explode. Have fun trying to find out where to put the glow ignitor ;D
