Chromed Quickdraw pipes

Looking to get a chromed Quickdraw pipe for G260 motor. Anyone have any info on where to get one or have one done. Rick

Rick,

You may want to try something other than chroming. Chrome plating tends to cause oxygen embrittlement of the base material, ie the pipe may get brittle and crack.

I dont understand why these makers of expensive steel pipes dont make them from stainless steel. The Prestwich pipes have been made from brazed stainless for many years and work very well!

The pipes from Marine Specialties are nickel plated steel...same problem?

Not sure about nickel plating, but I have seen several souces mention the problem with chrome plating! Nickel plating may be fine!
