atlas van lines U-1

Do you guys know if the atlas van lines U-1 dumas boat is allowed in the IMPBA sport 40 class? Also, does it need to be like the 1\8th scale class and be like a replica?

If its the 40 size Atlas it is allowed in the sport 40 class in IMPBA, i have a guy in our club who races one and does well with it.

Does it need to be the same color as the real on or can it be different?

Only the 1/8 scale boats have to look like real boats. Sport 40 boat can be painted anyway you can dream of.....

The Atlas kits converts into a couple different schemes. I think one of them is the Squire Shop. The Miller American does Pringles. etc...

As long as you have a driver or simulated cockpit (painted windshield) & a number and/or sponsor or name. At least in the IMPBA anyway..... B)

Same goes with NAMBA. Except that you must have your number and a sponsor (it can be made up).
