I don't mean to steal your post Mikey but I just wanted to thank the Celina club on behalf of me and James. We had a great time. Good weather, good racing , and good food, thanks! ..........oh ya.......... R.I.P. Oberto

I had a great time, the weather held off for the most part, with only a short break during a thunder storm on Saturday afternoon. But it was humid all weekend! Wes it was great pitting with you and your son. And BTW congrats on your Concourse award for the Madison boat! I felt bad for Dan as his boat looked like a total loss. I was running my 69 Pay N Pak in the same heat, and I heard Dan say No. No. No. No.. And then just kind of turned his back as the boat made a bee line for the rocks on the other side of the pond. R.I.P. Oberto. we'll miss ya.

Awww man that sucks. I think every scale pilot gets a chill when we read stuff like this. :(

Ya, there was an erie silence as the retrieve boat was coming back from across the pond. You would have thought they were bringing back a corpse. All over a $2 or $3 dollar on/off switch. I think thats the 4th boat I've seen in 2 years destroyed over a stupid switch gone bad. The other 3 were toggle switches that vibrated apart.

THANK YOU Dan and all the Celina club members for hosting a great event. Weather held off till the end, Dan had to speed up the award / gift presentation before mother nature dumped on us.

I've got pics of Dan's boat heading towards shore, but even with zoom can't see much. There's also after shots taken. 1/2 way up the carb and forward is gone. Oh ya, the other half of the carb was pushed backwards.. Believe there was even wood stuffed into the carb. :( When I get home tonight, see what can be done to post a pic or two. RIP Oberto... At least you have the beach ball!

As for results, can only state that I took 1st B Sport Tunnel. ;)

The Rocks collected more then just Dan's boat this weekend. I know of two more that found their way to the other side. One I picked out of the trash ;) . Another scale boat hit a metal object and tore up his hull, but Dan's was the worst of the weekend. Dan I still have that OBERTO ?? I had a great weekend and can not wait for next year. Thank you Dan and crew. Good show Celina is one of the nicest places to run at.
