I ordered african mohogany from Rockler.com nice stuff no backing on mine.

Thanks guys ,that planking with the strips looks like a million bucks , The GALE V did not have the calking stripes so I will be using the veneer in full sheets , they are 6" wide 4 feet long african mohogany, about 1/64 thick so bending wont be an issue, Thanks guys and I'll put some pics up...

Thanks for the quick reply I've been looking around but have'nt come up with any thing yet, I'm thinking that the super77 is perminent when sealed off with the clear coat.

What sould I use to adhere the mohogany venier to the deck skin, I am thinking 3M super 77 or contact cement, It will be clear coated with PPG after decals and striping.?????

Well I can say that the GALE V has been an experiance with the deck, the compound curves are pretty hard to get the plywood skin to laydown next time Iwill do two layers of 1/32 and soak them in water and amonia other than that the plans were a good fit and boat looks correct. I simply changed out the peuny wire that came with the starter and replaced with good stuff, remember basic electronics , more surface area more amps......also need more than the 7 amp batts that hobby shops usualy sell.

an areo pipe will work, It will tune at a little different length because of timing , compression and nitro content ,,,,,, also very loud.....

Also the castor oil is what the problem is and it will only disolve with a non petrolium base cleaner such as the fuel that it was mixed with in the first place I always use old fuel to cut the old castor for disassembly.Oh yea and heat also I use a heat shrink gun. Glenn

I use no less than 18% oil in case of a lean run / I use sig castor or blendsall , remember that marine engines are under different load conditions as in wide open most of the time, cars and buggy's are on and off the throttle .
