Dave, I am sure Jerry Schoenith (www.mydetroitstory.com) could provide you more insight on the boat, the shop & if space from the Gale camp was used? The 1965 Detroit program doesn't list the boat at all, but not surprised, since it was not raced before the Detroit race that was held on August...

It was not an Unlimited.....Sacramento was not a stop for the Unlimiteds in 1968 :blink:

Dave, In 1965, driver Jim Miller failed to qualify the boat in 2 different races that it entered, the Detroit & Madison race. :( ~Bill

Joe - right on! The turbo-allison combination with the full cowl on the boat contributed to a major heat issue not only with the magnetos, but the entire motor !!! :)

Trivia Question, Why didn't the '74-76 Miss US race with the air-dynamic cowl throughout the years??? :huh:

Don' t believe this particular boat (under a different sponsor) ran in the black Sunday race at all.....????? :unsure:
