Hi Mario. On the engine placement that is 16" from center of the case to the back of the transom correct?
I was doing that same measurement on a 45 SGX tub just for the heck of it and the engine is 5 1/2"farther forward on the SGX. It's amazing how different the two design concepts are.
Mine is one of the very first 46s from when Glenn had novarossi. I haven't had any problems with with mine either. I wonder if it would be good to get one of the newest rods.
Yeah i found the bearings at Boca. They have all of them for the 21DD and just the 2 crank bearings for the 46.
The only thing i was talking about on the 46 was the metal on the outside of the PTO looked a little different compared to mine. And of course that has nothing to do with performance...
I think it's kind of a interesting subject. I know Nelson has a AAC sleeve engine. My brother had a OB powerhead that had one in it. I believe OS had or has one as well.
I ment to say i am sure the heat affects the aluminum sleeve quite differently than the brass sleeve. Since aluminum dissipates heat much better than brass.
