    3rd channel remote initial settings

So your motor needs to be broken in for sure. I have a BM flow meter so I will give you my numbers, keep in mind that each boat setup may be a little different. For a ballpark setting flow the needle to around 45 which should be rich. As soon as the engine starts richen the needle as much as...

    Wrist Pin Clip Failure

Are the clips from CMB . I have bought some clips that weren't from CMB and the diameter and spring tension was less than CMB. Brandon I would suggest you learn how to install these yourself since your having issues. If the clip is not properly in the groove of the piston there will be problems...

    Retrieving Large R/C Boats

I observed this method at the last NAMBA Nats at the Las Vegas pond. I couldn't believe how far some of these guys could throw, boats were in before a retrieve boat could get to the dead boat. Not the best method for broken boats.

    45 Roadrunner question

Ronnie that looks to be an older RR model. looks like the boom spacing is determined by the boom length which is how the current models are setup. I would check for a little toe in on the R sponson and run the boat. As for a cowling thats going to be determined by the tub width, the current 45...

    45 Roadrunner question

Ronnie what model RR do you have, what year? The current RRs have 1/16 or so toe on the turn fin R sponson and L sponson is set wider than the R. Your best source would be Ralph Almirola or Joe Warren. I will look and see if I have the set up info for mine , my is currently in a friends trailer.

    ZippKits JAE 45 Build Thread

Thanks again Mario for the update. I'm sure many people are seeing the value of your posts and Buckshots JAE45 builds. The JAE has evolved into a competitive heat racing boat that many new boat modelers can afford. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many major NAMBA/IMPBA races around the...

    CMB 3rd channel remote Mounting

Mikey can you explain why not to use the CMB Needles. I myself mostly use the Don F and Bob Vs needles, however about 15 years ago I did use a CMB needle in a 67 powered 1/8 scale and had no issues. You would think that CMB would have stopped providing the needles if they thought the performance...

    45 outrigger

Tim, I have spoken with David at a few races and he says he has little to do with the current Zipp kits version of the 45 JAE. I believe that Martin T has had the most input to current model. For the most part Martin added a few inches to the plans version of the original tub. I personally built...
