I've painted abs quite a few times, your right to say you want no shine, i usually go 320 grit and hit it with an enamel primer( I use Dulux spray cans) either the sanding or the standard grey ones. Then I use the Dulux enamel spray cans to paitn the boat. Haven't had a problem with adhesion...

yea i've heard stories of it going black, apparently its still good to use, just the colour. Of course nothings as good as fresh tho?

Apparently the fire extinguishers needed are very expensive. And they do keep burning whilst underwater :lol: The best soloution apparently is to have a bucket of sand handy to smother the fire ;)
