Byron - Aeromarine makes a 5mm x 3/16 collet to fit the aquacraft .18 and os .18 engines - pull the teflon liner out of the stuffing tube and the 3/16 shaft fits perfect - you can use a piece of 7/32 and 1/4 brass tubing to make a bushing for the strut if you need it

Byron - I also use the hanger 9 starter 12 volt starter but hooked up to two batteries running @ 24 volts with no problems

Guys - aeromarine also makes that collet in 5mm x.150 and 5mm x .187 both real nice pieces

Voodoo - If you have the head off and the pull start and rear cover just try and carefully lift the sleeve (liner) sometimes turning the crankshaft it will lift up , you can also use a toothbrush to pry upward from the inside, or use dental floss to lift the piston off the crankshaft pin ...
