I have multiple stripes to paint on the sponsons of my 1982 AVL. Does anyone have a tip or trick to taping off nice evenly spaced and smooth flowing curved lines around the sponsons. Thanks to all.

I am not able to use the color codes I found in another thread about the 2 blue colors used on the AVL. I read the PPG codes, DCC 14366 for the dark blue and DCC 15506 for the light blue. My local paint dealer does not use PPG and is not able to do a cross reference. My local paint dealer...

I ordered a oackage of vacuum formed NACA ducts from Hobby King kast week on line. After I placed the order it then told me it would be 45 days before I receive them. WHAT ???? That seems a little extreme for such small pieces. Guess I will wait and see what happens. I should have asked here if...

I have the mirrors and cowl latches in place now and have the NACA ducts on order from Hobby King. Getting closer to sealing the hull. Mirrors need a little mork work to make them look even. All sanding for putting on the West Systems is done.

Well here is my first attempt at a scale cockpit. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. Not perfect, but I will get better on the next one. And if you're wondering about the light blue life jacket, I actually have a DVD showing Chip Hanauer wearing this same outfit.
