Would a Prather spitfire with a k&B 3.5 OB need any floatation added or will the 4 sponsons keep it afloat? The boat also has a bulkhead that seals of the nose so that it is another air pocket. Thanks I am going to run it for the first time this weekend, and I don't want to lose it.

So how do they run compared to an ss-1? How many amps will it handle? It is still a ferite motor?

In case you are wondering N1 = 6 cells stock motor. N2 = 6cell modified motor. If this is your first boat It is plenty fast. Of course like anything else speed will become an addiction. The force boats are great place to start if you have rc car gear.

I would scrachbuild the gearbox, but i like the twin 05 idea better. I have two sets (4) long can, can motors. I would use wire drives with the props moved apart so I could use the 42mm L&R props. The props probably need to be cut down some anyways to work direct drive.

I read your artical. Wow that video is cooking! Have you given up on the idea of a counter-rotating twin prop setup? In the intrest of scale looks, I would like to try two props on my BR. Twin 05 or a 700 on a twin out-put gear drive. 12-14 cells either way. What do you think would be best?

Re:Check out my new K&B! Ok, how is this for cheap? I got a 3.5 K&b compleat in near new condition for less than $70 in the box. It also came with the fully adjustable mount and a prather O/B outriger hydro. Hull is unpainted and looks like never been ran.
