I am fairly new to the sport in Australia. I have a gas powered Oboy Oberto boat. I think it is 1/8 scale. I have modified it with a Toxic marine engine & a decent tuned pipe. I got it running well with a 6717 prop. It got up on its tail & barrel rolled down the river last weekend, leaving a...
Pete,
The cowl needs to be about 90mm wide & about 500 mm long (from the front of the tunnel section on the hull- (not from the front tip of the nose of the cowl). Maybe you could check the Dumas & see if we have a fit. I appreciate your help.
Craig.
Dave,
That would be awesome! The closest I can get so far is to modify an HTB cowl, but it needs to be widened to suit. I can do fiberglass work, but that will be a tricky job..
Your help is greatly appreciated! B)
Craig.
yeah, my cowl is at the bottom of the Hawkesbury River. Any ideas on how to replace it?? How do get in touch with John (?) the guy who built them? Any help earns a beer. ;)
its a 3.5cc Tim. Any ideas what hull this is & where I can get a new cover? Ian from Hooters racing has seen it at the last Penrith meeting. He might know. I have messaged him, but not heard back as yet. Closest I can figure so far is it might be a HTB hull.
yeah i just emailed him. I feel like such a goose for not fitting up flotation to the cowl. :( . I'll get the pics of the hull up in a few hours. Back to the garage & the fiberglass resin!
Thanks heaps for your help! I think I finally know what I have now. Yeah, its a ripper little boat. B)
