Well I just purchased my first CMB and all I can say for this particular engine is what a heap of ****!(the man that sold it to me is helpful! Was fantastic to deal with! Done me a great deal! And is now trying to sort it out.) But the casting is crap! The audible clunk and free play of piston...
John Futaba has some good stuff out now in the USA.(new radio's for late 2017/2018) Try AMainhobbies. tower hobbies has gone to **** in my opinion not unless you want to backorder a backordered backorder.
I think Insane boats do a good one? How competitive it is I wouldn't really know? I'm sure there's some guy's on here that can set you straight on what's winning. I sometimes check the IMPBA and NAMBA record's for the class I'm interested in and see what the main weapons of choice are.
In the early days back when Shane Badmann? (of river runner canoes fame) was moulding for Bolly there was alot of one off experimental pipes getting done that had variations. It was a trial and error type process that had lots of items coming out that to me looked all unique and one off? Bolly...
Good information thanks Ian your boats are running fast and smooth and look good on the water from what I've seen on youtube. I worked with the new owner of Bolly for year's. I used to go in there and speak with a moulding guy that was there who was very good to me.(used to give me carbon...
Ian did you work for Les? My Dad helped teach Bolly to fly in n the 70s! some of his early tuned pipes leaked like a sieve! I thought I'd read some of your SSP pipes had references directly linking early Bolly pipes to SSP designs? Is that correct? Also are you the original owner of SSP pipes?
Good info Scott my Dad's running cheap electric tunnels and you can tell he is starting to turn to the darkside!(I've tried stopping him but his eyes start glazing over) they run very good but I refuse to tell him that. You can't encourage these guy's as then they turn on the guy's running...
Tower Hobbies had them listed as not in stock but the truth is they had them apparently? They had warehouse stock that wasn't listed online. Only found out last week. If your in the USA it may pay to ring them and tell them that story. I spoke to Grimracer on here only 2 weeks ago about trying...
Nice that will keep the prop tip speed down. My Dad always used to tell me try to never stand in line with a propeller! If they ever do shed a blade they usually go off like a bullet in the rotational arc there spinning in. Same as be careful if you drop a carbon prop or excessively jar them...
Thanks again Bob for all the help I will send you updates on the boat. Also apologies as I was unaware you had been held up (with other vendor's) looking for the hardware to try and help me out with the shipping costs and trying to obtain all the parts to complete the boat thanks again for the...
