After a long day today of thrashing, the TBM is proud to announce that there are now two new threats to the FE society...

Randy Premo's new P-Tunnel.

And Steve Hearl's new P-LTD Tunnel.

The TBM's gonna be in full FE force at SOWEGA!

Must be a birthday present for Randy......

Looking nice guys...

now lets see how they run.

Is that a K&B7.5 lower Randy on your Shaman?

Is that an OS lower on the P-Limited hull? If it is, I would be interested in hearing the theory in cutting that much off of the skeg. I looks like a big chunk was taken off the bottom.

Thanks

Mike

Skeg's are barn doors. Mine is about that short and half as wide and I can carve a lane one corner with ease.

DAMMM you guys need to send me some K&B 7.5 lowers to modifiy for you so the motor sits right down low!

BTW, great work on getting more numbers out there :)

SOWEGA is gonna be fun!

Looking forward to getting my Pspec wet for the first time too.

Will be interested in hearing how these run! I'm putting together a Lynx right now, and also have a Warhead II that I'll be building for P-OPC, to do double-duty as an Open OPC boat as well.

Darin,

At Charleston (Fall Nats) Jay Halbrehder went out with the P/Shaman and wore out the open class, D tunnels and Gas monsters, played with them at half track, running half throttle. Walked them at the start, and drove with enough throttle to not let mom nature get him. It was impressive, ask RC TINMAN.He was in the tower turn judging for me and saw the potential.

I'm looking forward to getting this WarHead II setup then... Not many people out here run "real" P-OPC setups... mostly P-Ltd stuff, which is what my Lynx will be used for. However, the District 8 guys have been playing with a spec Q-OPC setup, using a Scorpion Outrunner on 6S1P... pretty reasonably priced, doesn't require a ton of ESC or batteries, and the speeds for heat racing are impressive, in a FUN way... (NOT in a destroying your equipment, burning stuff up, all out speed-or-nothing kind of way! ;) )

No one out here has done a Lynx yet for P-Ltd, so I'll be the first, though I know that Eric Bourlet was working on one as well.

Will let you know how it goes.

For the record Jays 2 FE Shaman's are set up for P/ltd,P and Q. The boat we ran at Charleston was a Q with a 1600KV Castle on 5S. 6S is too hot to handle in heat racing on a Shaman. You compromise finishing for speed you don't need. On P (4S) we run a 2200KV NUE and it is not much slower but handles really well over carrying the extra weight of 5S (Q). Do not be afraid to use a Shaman in P/spec/ltd. Lets you roll through corners with more throttle.Hope Randy and Hearl will sign up for STORM #4 and bring it on in open tunnel with the "****NO****FUEL" boats.

Darin,

I know that someone made a adjusted radio box for the Lynx for adaption to a FE version....So I think he might already built an FE lynx...

Ronald.

I've been running a P-ltd. Lynx for a year now and love it. We made a radio box out of the cut out where the fuel tank normally goes, and velcro the battery in where the radio box normally sits. Got a Shaman from Ron a few weeks back and have plans to build a P-OPC over the winter.
