Hi all, I'm a newbie to boats and building my second project,(Project Raped Ape) is a 40"Prather deep Vee, that will have a KnB .91(thanks Speed Jr.)currently it has a sub-surface type drive that will be changed to a sd unit, with this much power i'm sure i will encounter torque roll\steering,by offsetting the surface drive would this compensate for this effect? and if so,how much should the offset be? 1\8 - 1\4" ???

You can offset the strut a little but the biggest hitter for torque problems is a VERY sharp and THIN prop. I think the offset between 1/8-3/16 would be fine..

All just my opinion,..
