I'm assembling a Sport 21 to run in NAMBA. The hull is a Dumas Pay N Pak. What is a a good depth under the bottom for the strut? Is zero angle a starting pont?

Please tell me you didn't use the Dumas supplied framing or at least cut litening holes in it

I would start with the prop shaft the same depth as the sponson bottoms and move up or down from there. As heavy as that hull is, you will probably also need to use a lifting prop to get the transom out of the water.

I built one years ago and never could get it to plane out due to the weight as mine weighed around 8 pounds ready to run
