hey guys, a close friend put together an aeromarine stinger with a cmb 91 rs (red head)

what prop would you guys suggest we could try? I still have a 1667 and a cut 1475 we'll be trying out in the next couple of weeks.

one of the other fellow racers lent us his gas hydro prop, and was quite an improvement from a prather 270

abc 67 x 114 is about the same as a 1667 a little different but that is a option as well

abc h-58 abc h-48 also

1667 seams to be a popular choice among people

choice better V-967/3 for stinger rigger It will fast but may be fly Good luck!
interesting choice of words there allan, the rigger has done that already on a couple of occasions.

I'm not sure if the props I have are stock or modified (bought the twin with both sets)

We greatly appreciate your feedback :)

Al,

I would start out with a modified H-667 and then possibly a 2718.

The H-667 is really quick when prepared properly.

The H-667's seem to bend at the hub like H- 50's after running a while for me . i'll take a 1667 with proper pitch for me anyway . i did like the killer responsiveness of the H - 667 but a thicker blade might help some . Just my experience with them is all .

Tom,

Have you tried one heat treated yet?

They are really responsive for heat racing with

the reduced blade area. They will out run a stock

1667 in heat race trim on a big block for sure.

Thanks For Reading,

Years ago I ran some H667's cut done to 64mm stock pitch and cup on my twin HR91's would run 90mph all day long in any conditions

I'm hoping the1667 will stop the boat from going airborne ;)

I had good luck with a MW3 modded at the last race in Charleston.

Still looking for some more lead in pitch on a prop.

1667 with cups from 5,8 to 6.5 is my first choice . looks you are testing in a windy and choopy day!

Al,

Kick the sponsons out two more inches on each side of the tub,

and reduce the angle of attack on the front sponsons just a tad.

This should help you in rough water testing.
