got old skool wood 21 coyote, building from new now thinking of trying an electric set up. any thoughts on motor size and is a 4s suited for this size rigger. I can fit size wise 2x 3s batteries, but dont want to go over the top thoughts please thank you

For fun it should work just fine, If you might race it, i have no idea how competitive it might be and 4s should work fine for that hull, just build it reasonably light! Build the boat strong if you run 6s in it! Be sure to make room for the motor and ESC to fit, you might have to move the bulkheads a bit, Maybe not!

For a 21 size rigger the NAMBA P-Ltd motor combination would be a good fit. Look at a 36mm x 60-75mm length motor with a kv between 2200-2500kv. 4S1P or 4S2P with smaller cells will fit and give enough runtime for approximately 8-10 laps. Good motor options for sport running are:

TP3630 or 3640
Leopard 3660 or 3674
Tenshock 2240 or 2250
SSS 3660

A Castle X8S Hydra is the best ESC on the market and waterproof.
