O.S. Max .21 o/b ?

Hi all yesterday started my winter inspection of my O.S, MAX .21 outboard i removed the needle valve and noticed no rubber '' o'' ring on the needle valve where it seats into the barrel. Is there supposed to be a rubber o ring there? Regards Andris Golts.
