Got my zipp running wondering what prop to use I have a os 18 in it tried a 1440 alright tried a 215 better what would be a good prop to run. Mahalo Jon

I have a zipp 12 with an os 18 tz turning a 40/56 prop. It does great, once I got the pipe to the right length. High nitro mac pipe with the cone at 2 1/2 inches from glow plug. Started with a 38/53 then went to 40/53 and to the 40/56.

The prop is back cut motor only screams were did u get the 40/56 prop from ran a 215 not bad but I think there is more in the boat thanks for the info

I run a 12 engine. When I startedv with the boat I used a 215, I run 1440 back cut /detongued and pitched up a bit. Could try a 1445 or maybe a h2 or h4.

Zipp kit 440 is the 40/56 pitch, worked it a little, tongue removed, blades are smaller, let's the engine turn it.

would have to be a stout .18 to turn a 1450 I would think..

true, but the power difference between the two is pretty decent.
