I was lucky enough to be gifted a couple crashed hulls that has started my love affair with RC boating. but I dont have any to spare.

I would highly suggest starting here for an ultra cheap boat. its $59 for the boat plus you'll need hardware. outriggers are the fastest and best handling boat you can get. and they happen to be cheap and easy to start out with. says out of stock but just email them. they will come back within a week usually.

you can also do this one and it does have a payment plan. but you should always avoid that.

What kind of $$ are you thinking?
What kind of terms are you willing to do?
IE: down payment, how much per week/month?
By month payments

There is a site in eastern PA, in the town of Bristol, where races are held there almost once a month. I see your pretty far west in Pa.. Maybe go on the NAMBA site for district 1 and maybe give the District Director a call and maybe he can see if there is anything in your area.

Stanley,

I have plenty of boats that I could sell to you.
What type of hull and engine are you looking
for? What classes run close to you? Would you
be interested in a 12-Hydro outrigger?
I have plenty in my fleet.

Thanks,

Mark

WOW! Do you guys (especially those with lots of experience) really want to start Stanley from ground zero with a rigger? How about a nice well set up 20 mono.
Just my 2 cents.
Rich
Exactly.....SMH

Ya know, the people here who are trying to dupe a newbie, with no RC boating experience, into a nitro fueled outrigger hydro are, well, simply priceless.
Talk about a direct route to a buzz kill. Unbelievable!
Maybe y'all need to book a spot on Dr. Phil....more SMH.

Unless he has all the support equipment that goes with a nitro boat, electric mono might be the way to go. Probably best to get up with a local club and make a deal on something that just came out of the water running. You guy all remember how steep the learning curve on any of these are, elec. nitro, or gas, help from a local club is priceless.

As a racer for the last 20 years....my vote is for the MONO!! I WOULD GO GAS,, i know this is a nitro space...A stock gas mono hard to beat that!!!

IDK as a newb myself a mono was terrible as my first boat. a cat much better. mono gave me a ton of fits in corners and crashed constantly. They're kinda a PITA.

Well if you have too much throw in the rudder and don't slow down a bit
...I found those two things to make it a bit of a challenge. For me....I learned u have to roll it in the turns...can't drive it like a rigger or sport hydro. It's also more forgiving especially the stock mono...u learn to drive....I would also consider a stock 21 tunnel as a starter
