I have a OLD Dumas Dragonfly 60. I originally set it up with the Dumas hardware (didn't know any better at the time). Well I have decided to start over with the hardware, I am switching it to a flex shaft from the original drill rod shaft, I want to change the rudder, & strut as well.

Here is my question. What would be good hardware? I want a rudder with a single water pickup built in. What strut should I use?

I would assume since it is a shovel nose hydro design, that hardware that would be good for an 1/8 scale would be about right.

Any help would be great!

BTW, I have no intentions of trying to race it. It is not a scale boat of any full size race boat that I am aware of.

here is a top view of it.

Way ahead of you on the mount. I am making one right now.

I kept loosing control linkages & mounting bolts from the vibrations. I figured this winter I would tear it down & make it right.

Thanks for the advice on the hardware.
