I have a CMB 45 CAM purple head (2003-4) that I need to rebuild. It has been sitting for several years in pieces, the bearings feel ok but I do not trust them and the piston goes half way out the top of the sleeve. Question should I replace the needles in the rod also? Wrist pin?

Where is the best place ( cheapest) to get the parts for it?

I have read about using a liner squeaser to get the fit back on a p&s. how many times can this be done to a liner?

Steve

there is only one place to get motors and parts,in the usa, crapshooter boats,317-462-9978.about $181 for bearings and p/l.if your liner is that far gone,a squeezer is a bad idea, and i sell them.

Steve ...........thanks for your reply. I figured you could only reduce them so much.

Is most of the wear on the piston or the liner? I am sure both wear just wondered were most of the wear is at?

It's the piston, alum alloy wears before the chrome sleeve liner.
