Folks,

got an issue with the 10 degree header not fitting on my 21 valvola...

the header flange comes in contact with the back edge of the flywheel..

I know the header is correct, possibly the wrong flywheel?

Are there different varieties of flywheels that fit this engine?

I will post a pic of the engine assy ASAP...

thanks much

Jay

Jay,

With a grinder, take off the bottom portion of the header just above the flywheel. Take enough off, about a section from the 5 to 7 o'clock position to get clearance for the flywheel. Just do not take enough off the bottom that is goes all the way through. It won't hurt a thing and this is typical for the valvola/MAC engines.

I did consider grinding as you mentioned, just wanted to make sure before doing so...

jay, it is also common to have to clearance headers on ob's, to clear the pto. do what john describes, & it will work fine.
