Boat coat or West systems?

Hi all, Just been looking around for a suitable product for finishing my new .90 rigger. I know from what I,ve read and been told that West systems is a very good product but, today I contacted a local boat fibreglass business and they told me they use a product called Boat coat (think this is the correct spelling). They told me that this is a very similar epoxy and they stock it on the shelf . my question is has anyone used this stuff and if so what were the results. Also apparently boat coat is mixed at a different ratio with the hardener which mean squat to me. Can any one share their experience with me so I dont muck this up. ???
