Randy, its (252) 717-6282. Its on my website as well. Yes, I am friends with Ken that has the licensing and the LLC for AMPS-International Hobbies. We have been discussing for a couple months me repairing the plugs and making new molds for the hull, and making the AMPS gas outboard again. I personally, want to go that route vs. this 56" tunnel as I think the 53" AMPS Seebold tunnel is really sweet, and the gas outboard is something I can produce in house vs. the Performance International outboard that is giving my friend John all kinds of problems getting aluminum parts lost wax cast. Every company wants a 200 part minimum, and I doubt John and I will sell more than 10-15 of these things. Just not a lot of interest in the gas size tunnels, mainly due to cost and shipping issues. Feel free to call me over the weekend. I will be around most of the time! Thanks, Mike

Smaller AMPS outboards I have been repairing and repainting, and making cowlings for!

If anyone is interested in purchasing the 3 part set of Tunnel molds, please PM or email me. I may be doing so. Thanks, Mike

I have thought on this some more, and may just try and fit in building this tunnel. My fear is time to be quite honest. Just have to see how things go over the coming weeks/months. Lots of interest, but mostly overseas, which makes shipping tough. I will keep everyone updated on that. On another note, I laid up one of the outboard cowlings this weekend while I was working on a batch of customer cowlings. I did this one in black gel coat, and it turned out great. These cowls are available now if anyone is interested. Just PM me about them. The outboard, stands 16" tall from skeg to top of cowling!

Love the Champ hull and outboard, I hope it all pans out for you, it looks awesome. The black gel coat cowling came up really well, no painting now...lol. Sure would love one over this side of the pond.

Cheers

Hello Mike. I love your passion for all of this OB stuff. I have one word of advice for you as a business man, "FOCUS". You can do a lot of things sorta good, or a few things great. What do you want your legacy to be? Hope this helps, Beas

Hi Mike, how's things coming along ?

Can't wait to see whats been happening with this awesome project of yours.

Cheers

Chris

Chris, I plan on laying one up when I get off vacation. I will share pics as soon as I do. Thanks, Mike

Hey Chris, I just got some things done in the shop to give me more space, so it will not be long. Just keep checking here! Thanks

Well, I am officially putting the top deck, lower hull, and hatch mold up for sale. First $1000 plus shipping gets it. I just don't have time for this, and need my space for more important things. I have more than this invested. These are mint molds. PM me or post here if you are interested. Mike

Well, I decided to give it a shot this weekend, and lay up the hatch and bottom to complete one of these. It wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. I am now again, on the fence with keeping the molds. I realized I have learned a lot over the last few months since I first layed up a top deck, and this thing is not so time consuming to make as I expected. Here are some pics. There are some chips on the edge of the top deck, but I now know how to correct that on following layups. This one may be going to Australia. Mike

Shawn, I actually had some guys in Canada ask about doing an inboard setup on this just like you mentioned. Not sure they are still interested in the hull or not tho. But yes, the Arrowshark units would fit fin. Just not sure the quality...seems like a few complains as of late! Mike

Looks bloody great Mike, well done! I'm pleased to hear that you might be keeping the molds and producing some hulls, I think it will be a good move, looks fantastic!

Where abouts in Oz might this one be going and what would shipping be for one of these bad boys ?

Love the F1's.

Kind Regards

Chris

Kris and Chris,

Looks like no one will be getting one in AU. I priced up shipping threw Fedex and Shipnex, and it was between $700-950 in shipping. I have to check UPS, or if anyone else has any ideas on large packing shipping that is in the $400 range, please let me know. Its a real disappointment, and the person looking to get it is really sad the shipping is forcing him to not get it. With that being said, if I cannot find any better shipping options today, I will be offering this one for $500 plus shipping in the continental USA. If anyone is interested, just let me know. Mike
