1966 My Gypsy colors

Guys I need some help. I am building a classic thunderboat as the My Gypsy and the sign shop and I are having difficulty in determinig the colors on the boat. What we are having the most trouble with is the outline around the lettering, The gentleman at the sign shop believes it to be gold and the candy paint is giving it the orange cast in the pictures of the boat and I believe it is actually orange. I have tried to contact by e-mail Hank Kosciuszko (who I think took several of the pics of the boat that are on the Unlimiteds Detroit website) and Jim Dunn but have heard nothing back from them, is there anyone here who could put me in touch with either of these two or anyone who actually saw the real boat and can say for sure what the color really is? whatever the color may be all help is much appreciated.

Bright orange. It has a unique contrast with the metalic orange background.
