JAE cowl help please

Hey guys, I'm looking for an idea for holding down the cowl on my JAE. The tank that I ordered was oversized and I had to modify the hull and cowl. Any ideas will be considered. Thanks.

This is how a couple of ours are. The cowl sets on the deck.

I used a piece of angled carbon to clamp the cowl under

What size JAE is the boat and is that the .45 cowl that they sell?

It's a JAE 45 GT. That's the cowl they sell but it comes non painted and no holes

Almost finished and still having trouble finding a way to attach the cowl. I've thought about using two small hinges but still need better ideas. Anyone have suggestions?
