Congratulations on the fantastic results! You guys have really got it going on. Hope to be there next year!

hi everybody and thanks for the congratulations,

some people mailed me to say something about components and setup :

i used two lehner 2280/6 on schulze 40.160 wk controllers powered by two preheated 10s kokam 4000 mah packs :

on the right side you see the heat pads from the 1:5 rc-car tires,

that's the wiring of the heat pads

and here i plug in the 12 volt.

normally the boat can go faster but i decided to use a downforced setup, because sunday before saw i had an awesome 100 feet flip.......however, it was enough to take the trophy home.......next year will come an i'm working on it......kind regards from our side of the atlantic, holgi !!!

edit p.s.: i forgot.......props were a pair of hardened octura x457 andy brown.

AWESOME layout- VERY nice work, the more I look, the more trick stuff I see. Esp like the motor mount and the servo tray . Good looking boat, and **** quick too. Nice job.

Nice pics! What a clean setup. If I could only get my boats to look that good. I am jealous!

hi drew,

i bought struts, strut carriers an rudder at mtc :

http://www.mtc-powerboat.de/index.php?section=Home

i don't know if they have a distributor in the united states........then i modified the struts to ball bearings (with ceramic balls), built the rudder carrier and made the drive shafts and drivedogs of finest grade 5 titanium.......flexshaft has a diameter of 5mm (a little bit more than 3/16 of an inch)......for next year i'm planning to make the complete hardware in titanium........i'm still a newbie in milling and have to exercise a lot.

engines and lipos delivered so much power, that the struts moved upwards.....as you can see on the pictures i sanded struts and strut carriers horizontal, put some loctite between and fixed them again.....works perfect !

kind regards from our side of the big water, holgi !!!
