they work good. the motors are better I think than the Tfl starter as quiet smooth sounding. I have to mention only quirk same as tfl is they only use a set screw to hold pulley on the splines with no flat on the shaft and I had a pulley go spinning off into the water and lost forever. When you get it just mark where set screw sits in between splines and make a flat for it or carbide a dimple where it sits in splines. I even put a set screw behind the main set screw so it would never back out in my tfl. for 80 bucks you cant beat the price. the xt60 plug is plenty for the current it needs. never a problem with that .Ron, Thanks saw this just iffy on xt60 plug or not?
I'm trying to figure that out too, and for the life of me I can't see why they would advertise it like that... unless they are trying to show that the switch is soldered onto the wires maybe??is that switch hanging out of the thing? LOL.. yep..lol..
David, do you use a 3S to power yours ?they work good. the motors are better I think than the Tfl starter as quiet smooth sounding. Dave, you run a 3S pack on yours ?I have had one for 3 years and it works great.
I have ran it on 4s but with that battery I make sure and never let it spin without a load though after hearing sometimes on motorcycle starters the armature can blow apart if the rpm gets too high. I think Daniels Racing said that one time .but I usually always run a 8500mah 3s on it.Dave, you run a 3S pack on yours ?

It doesn't look like a bad starter,, I just have a hard time trusting anything sold on ebay...
This from the seller:
[TD]Dear customer,
Maybe the line will push out the switch, you can screw the switch a few turns and then push it will not fall out, because the line is too thick.
A quality starter doesn't have these issues and doesn't have thick wires going to the switch because a quality starter would use a relay.
Almost nothing properly made that has electric start controls the motor without using a starter solenoid relay.
The reason being you want a quick make quick break connection like a relay with spring and magnetic coil tends to react faster than mechanical switch contacts and this helps prevent the contacts from arcing while switching under load.
Here is what a proper handle, bezel and switch assembly looks like. Switch is bolted in the bezel with threads and bezel is tight fitting in the handle and held in with a setscrew that goes down into a pocket in the bezel. Bullet proof and easily replaceable. The 18 gauge wires from control circuit to the switch are easy to deal with and connected with ring terminals and screws on the switch. Parts should forever be readily available if need ever arises.

I only posted this for Wasted Wages curiosity over the switch hanging out, that's it! Oh by the way, I use a hobbico starter & a 3s or 4s lipo to start what ever size toy nitro engine.
