Is the grain on the bottom of the tunnel the same as the top? What is the thickness of those peace's?

Nice work!

Grim...
Bottom sheeting is long grain....deck sheeting is cross grain for ease of application over the framing....sponson sheeting is long grain.
Thickness is 1/16"
Mitch...yea...waiting on cowls..when in stock im ordering 2 more

Finished the center section. This is my 4th Zipp boat and once again the quality and fit are perfect. If a notch doesn't line up I am doing something wrong. A quick check of the instructions and I am back on track.

I cleared it this morning....and I rushed myself...stupid impatience....3rd coat has a few runs...need to sand them out and reshoot...
But its super glossy and smooth...
I never mentioned this...but this boat is being give away as a gift to a fellow boater...so I want it right...
So I need two more kits....one for me and a spare

Looking great Robert… I’m sure they will enjoy your generosity.

For those building to run nitro. My current setup is C.G. 9 3/4. Prop centerline 5/16 above the sponson bottoms and parallel to the sponson bottoms. I attached a pic of my radio box. Nothing special, this is how I build all of my tunnels. I prefer cables to push rods.Reciever is velcroed to the lid. I run the antenna out the lid. For an antenna tube I use a piece of nylon tube through a piece of fuel tubing. The fuel tube is a tight fit through a hole in the lid then the nylon tube presses through the fuel tube. The included fuel tank stand is too tall. Before you glue it into the boat, it will need to be shortened. Joe has modified the latest ones. Just check to make sure your cowl will fit. That is the only hiccup that I found in a great kit.

I like the plastic radio box cover...clean setup....maybe we can talk Joe into making the plastic lid an option

Is there no provision for the switch on the radio tray?

That would be a nice addition!
