Thanks Vince...I'm kinda fond of the green....
And Michael...that may be an option...but I may just hack up the cowl...so another header may be needed

my conquest had a 26 mod Zenoah in it with a 1'' header and a cc powermaster pipe, this pipe gave me a lot of torque for the motor I had. ran with a bob Austin 505 prop. it was competitive but I think my t44 turns a little better. conquest is still a good race boat. I believe it was a conquest that came in 3rd at the impba nationals in maryland

Never had luck with a 645 on rudder all ways strips a gear even on a stock boat..savox 1256tg all u need

Im sure the Savox would work...for some reason I just never could get turned on by the digital craze ....maybe its the initial high cost....or the hi current drain....or the constant buzz it makes...but I do understand the power and control that comes along with the digital servo.....I guess if I had a receiver that would handle more that 6.4v I would give it more thought...

Buy a few 645 so when they give out u can make next heats..i use 645 on throttle..never had one last on rudder

john otto sells savox servos, I run one in my 21 ob tunnel. don't remember the price but I don't think it was that much?. I have some digital servos in some other gas boats and I use a 6v 2500ma nickel metal battery pack and use a voltwatch to monitor the battery. I can get through the day with this. usually bring a field charger just in case. have not jumped into the lipo setup yet, maybe someday. while dist racing in maine I got talking to steve from offshore electrics and he was a wealth of information on what is the latest in battery tech, very informatitive and a really nice guy

Ok...let me get through a few issues im dealing with and I will come back at it...Heck..maybe a change is in order in my thinking...I have heard of some folks running HV with a regulator to control things..but again...way past my knowledge bank.
Thanks guys...Happy New Year....woohoo

Real nice Eddie! So, is the latest configuration the WYK cloan, or the WT?

Also, if you're ever curious, Hammond Electrical Enclosures sells (at very reasonable cost) polycarbonate boxes with captured O-ring sealed clear or smoked, screw-down lids. Strong, waterproof, and no more taping. Many different sizes. Just an option.

First Pioneer?

What a great tip!

Hello everyone just a short update..
So I took the week of Xmas off work to assemble the Aeromarine Conquest...
Funny how life tosses a curve ball...
So two days in on vacation I loose vision in my right eye..gone...I deal with it until I finally got a Retina specialist to look at the problem...
retina detachment...emergency room I go and now confined to my bed and a face down position for a couple weeks..
So long story short...Cat is on hold..its not all bad....I get to watch YouTube...and no sleep..
I will update when I get some vision back...

Thanks everyone...
Just waiting on Monday for a followup...and I cant wait to return to work...kinda weird saying that..

Man that is crazy. Best of luck healing up and pray you heal up and are 100% again.

If you haven't done the radio yet. Flip the throttle bellcrank over so the pushrod is over close to the rail not in the middle where it is in the way of the collet.
Be careful not to use holes in servo horn that are not out to far. The steering needs at MAX 1/2" from servo screw to pushrod link hole.

You can kill al your servo torque real quick using it too long. Many aluminum servo arms sold today are worthless until they are cut down considerably and new holes tapped for the balljoint to attach.

You must use real ball joints not quick links.

Daniels racing..
Thanks very much for the kind wishes...
And I haven't done anything with the boat in a couple weeks due to the eye issue..
Im still farting around with the stupid exhaust system...just a note to anyone interested...the Zippkits custom radio boxes are awesome...simple and perfect laser cut to your specs

So after some thought and a lot of experience boaters suggestions I have elected to take some advice and go with digital Savox servos...steering will be a 1230SG 500 .oz @6V.
And the throttle a 352 at 90 .oz @6V...
Both are standard size servos that will fit in the Aeromarine radio box.
And of course a 5000 Mah. 6V receiver Battery for power.
As far as my Eye surgery goes...its coming along and vision is improving hopefully I will be seeing well enough by spring to start racing....thanks for all the support from I.W. members...

Hello everyone...
Have you ever been totally wrong about something......and then admitted to the fact you were wrong....
Well here it goes....I WAS a Anti Digital servo person....until my new Savox servos came yesterday...Wow...how wrong can I be...these are great..smooth as butter and super quiet...thanks for all the info and support and please keep it coming..I have everything to finish minus a gas bag and 11/32" stuffing tube..and those will be ordered on the 24th from Zipp.

Did a motor swap on mine yesterday.
