I do some guitar work… Mostly as a hobby, but have done some some stuff for local musicians.

Nice guitars Rich. I have built a few as well. I found that boat building skills are very similar to guitar building. Here's another off the wall project I built. It's a bicycle made from walnut, ash and wenge. A little heavy but rides great.

A wood frame bicycle... wow!
Ive got some wenge and walnut left over but wanting to use it for knife handles.

That bike is crazy, how did you work out strength in the headstock?
The headstock, seatpost and bottom bracket all have steel tubes I cut from a Lemon bike I used for all the hardware. There is also some glass cloth involved in the headstock area along with finger joints in the wood. The frame was built in two halves and disassembled then hollowed out with a router. Very fun and challenging project. Here's a couple pic's
