VP Powermaster is good fuel. I currently go to the VP Regional Distribution Center in north Georgia and buy direct but I make my own. I buy VP 50/50 which is a 50:50 mix of Nitro and Methanol and just add oil. 5gal pail of 50/50 is $125 as of last month.

I also bought a 5 gallon pail of the 50/50 at my dealer. Just need to add some oil and then spike it with extra pure nitro to get it back to the right percentage.

I run VP but have started adding 2 oz of KLOTZ and 1oz of Castor to each gallon. Dan Pralle has it and so does the LHS for same price

I have been mixing my own fuel for the past 45 years. I have tried different oils and prefer Klotz Super Techniplate.

Klotz is readily available, mixes easily, and has been consistent over the years.

The problem of course is buying pure nitro. I just bought two drums of nitro at $2700 per drum delivered Montana or $54.00 per gallon.

Roger,
I have been using Torco for several years and it's a very good fuel. I will add castor to a gallon for engine break-in. In my honest opinion the VP fuel is overpriced. Torco is only 14 miles from my home. If you need fuel for the Nats, I can pick up several gallons and bring it with.

I use Torco fuel also. Their boat fuel has according to them, castor mixed in already.
Got mine where Shannon gets his but that is a long way away now.
