are you seeing detonation (pitting, sandblasting) on the top of the piston surface as well as inside the combustion chamber (head button)?

I'm seeing a little sandblasting on the very outskirts of the piston head.

    Chris.

I recently acquired a cmb 45 it's an older silver head. It's nearly a complete engine. However I believe it's missing the bearing for the connecting rod to the piston. Do you have , or are you able to get that part?

Thank you. I also have the back plate and modified carb for that. Which I hear is rare.
