I am working on a new project to create the "Universal Boat Stand". I am currently on rev 1.2 and it is getting pretty close to final design. I have been able to put everything from my Insane T2 Thunderboat to my A mono with no problem whatsoever. It is made out of expanded PVC (very light) and pretty sturdy. If this works I can dump about 8 boats stands out of my trailer! BTW it works with my riggers and tunnel boats also!

The only problem is that it could be illegal for use in some clubs.
Up in Washington, as far as I know, all boats are required to have integrated prop guards as part of their stands. An exposed prop is not allowed for safety reasons and, since I don't see that as part of your design, it would not be allowed at any sanctioned event

It definitely has a built in prop guard.

Curious what your final stand will look like David, there are some really good looking stands out there that display the boat nicely. The picture attached is the design I’ve used for years, it has the protective shroud, holds the boat nicely when starting it and serves as a perfect protective cradle while I transport them to and from the lake. I don’t need to worry about them banging around in my vehicle or trailer while I travel.

That said, I’m looking forward to seeing your design David, always interested in new ideas.

David,

I hope everything is good out there in Colorado, and you and the family are staying healthy?
Nice design, are you going to make them and sell them? Or are you selling templates? I have some nice black walnut that would look great with that
template.

Let Me Know Please?

I am glad to share the design for free! I unfortunately do not have the time to make these for anyone else. I can SVG files for the template.

Thank you, exactly right.

Here are the design files for this boat stand. Please note you will need to adjust to size of the slots based on your material thickness. It is designed for material between .46 and .5. I have included both SVG and DFX files. The pockets on the end plate can be any depth, really just for alignment of the side rails. I am building these with Expended PVC so I use #6 1.25" black sheet metal screws to assemble.
