Not sure if you've been following the insanity up here but our "minority" Liberal government has tabled a Bill to ban most, if not all (the wording is purposefully vague) firearms now legally owned in civilian hands.

Their Bill C-21 (handgun ban) was amended at the last minute adding all of the previously banned AR style rifles plus many other hunting rifles and shotguns.

It's so absurd that they even banned the "Butt Master", a one-off single shot .22 "pen" gun:

No matter how you personally feel about guns I'm sure most sensible people would realize that confiscating legal property from law abiding citizens instead of targeting hardened criminals is a waste of time, money and critical resources.

You guys south of the border hang on to your Second Amendment, we don't have any such protections up here in Kanuckistan.

What's really frustrating is that the NFA registry data should NOT be shared with any sort of international entity. The fact that a foreign nation has access to some of our most confidential data regarding private citizens as well as manufacturers should be a MASSIVE red flag.

GOOD! Need that gun ban in St Louis County.

This is a complex problem that can't be solved by simply banning firearms, criminals do not care what the laws are.

In Chicago there has been a steady increase in firearm related death both before and after the handgun ban, it had zero effect on reducing crime.

Here in Canada we've had a 92% increase in gang related homicide in the past seven years despite having some of the strictest gun control laws on the planet.

Typical Woke morons who want to degrade the ability of the police to protect us, and then ban guns so we can't do it ourselves. Beware Canada, this is how it started in Australia.

Notice how it's never these political types that are going to be doing the dubious and dangerous job of seizing the citizenries' firearms. Don't want to dirty their hands doing that and perhaps get shot in the process. Many police departments in the U.S. have flat out already said that they won't do it.

Here in the US, it isn't much better. When the Congress passed their 4000+ page bill to fund the government for the next year, they added billions of dollars in special interest spending and major gun control provisions. As I see it, there are 14 Republican and 50 Democratic senators and 200+ Democrat representatives that need to go

Yes they actually started a firearm registration of guns under the so traceable if stolen so a lot never thought much of it. Then the port aurthur event in Tassie made it easy to find the semi automatic weapons ie shot gun and rifles from good honey people, never trust any of the lying pricks, then you have the cops who come anytime to inspect they are secure and locked up and ammunition to be separate from the firearms , a real pain in the ass

Ask yourself why would a government be trying to disarm its people unless they had a hidden agenda . Especially when the head of the Toronto police himself has said that they are targeting the wrong people and this will do nothing to help with gun violence.
All Canadian's should be very concerned with what this party has done and is doing to our country.

Leftist non thinkers don't have a clue.
Taking guns away from law abiding gun owners doesn't solve the problem with criminals 'owning' and using firearms for illicit means.

Personally, we have some serious firepower, but haven't robbed or killed anyone. However, that pretty much insures I'm not going to be robbed or killed.

We've found that efficient use of fists and a good dog have kept us safe.

Only pink unicorn riding liberals think firearms should be done away with.
Not rational thinking.

There's an old saying- If a government is trying to take away your guns it's because they want to do something you'd probably shoot them for..............
