Prather 215-220 question

Hey guys, I just recently rebuilt a K&B 3.5 outboard and it had a prather 220 on it, the thing is, it hits the water pickup tube and is very close to the flat portion of the lower unit(sheet of paper thin from it)
I'm wondering if the 220 is too big of a prop or if there is something wrong elsewhere.
I'm also wondering what a prather 215 equivalent in octura is?

The 215 looks to fall between an X440 and an X442

That Mark Anderson Octura 1440 was the **** on that motor

I either moved the pickup tube to the rear of the cavitation plate with a bracket or trimmed the drive dog side of the prop to get clearance...and for me....the x440 worked very well....much better than the 1440...but hull type and setup play a major hand in all that...

I have a 3 blade and 2 blade x440.. And 2-215 props...
