Right now looking somewhere in the range of 6x14 or 7x14.
sources for boat racks and other useful equipment you all have found necessary would be perfect!

I like a lot of work space! This is an 18’ trailer.

Chris, did you put the air conditioner in.. and if so did you have to strengthen the roof?

Grim

It was braced for the A/C when the trailer was originally built. Gary ordered it with the unit when he got it years ago. It’s Carlo’s old trailer, I know you have been it it before I just freshened it up, lol!

Some saved trailer pics from various threads.

Thanks for all the pics guys,
Chris and Mark, both stellar layouts. Looks exactly like what we’re trying to do. We have a layout very similar to yours now Terry, looking to make it more walk in friendly.
Anyone have experience with adding an AC after the fact? Found a trailer here in Jax for a good price point as long as the AC is not too hectic to install. Looks like they aren’t too expensive to buy it’s the install that looks questionable.

I've just got a 5' x 8' trailer so I had to think things out more. I found out that you want access to things that you need out first and have to load last; canopy, tables, chairs, etc. I've redone mine a few times for that.

Brandon,
Roof top AC fits into the standard vent hole on top. I would strengthen the roof tubing. Had to remove the inside roof we put on the old trailer and strengthen it. On bad roads the bounce with the weight of AC will cause the roof to bow. If you look at my pictures you can see how I did the new trailer. All it takes is a floor jack, short 2 x 4, and some 1" x 1" tubing. You jack each roof tube up about 2" in the middle. Lay a piece of 1 x 1 tubing next to it and weld it in place. Also you can but used roof top AC. I bought the AC and the generator for a $1000.00 from someone that handled wreaked motor homes.
