if the weather is hot over 85 or 90* set your pipe at 8 5/8 other wise 8.5 is a great starting place.

brcause the weather is cooler you could also try 8 3/8 after you get the engine broke in and know
where you needle setting are,but you must open up the needle to run the 8 3/8 because ithe RPM.s will
increase.
